1. Introduction

This policy defines the handling of intellectual property on the UDAO platform. It covers course materials, user content, and brand elements. Our goal is to protect the rights of creators while fostering a creative and innovative environment.

1.1 Definitions

Intellectual property includes all copyrighted works, trademarks, patents, and other intellectual creations shared on the platform.
Course Materials and User Content refer to all teaching and learning resources, articles, discussion posts, and other content created and shared by users on UDAO.
Brand elements refer to the logos, brand names, and other distinctive marks of UDAO.

2. Rights of Use

The UDAO platform allows users to share their intellectual property in the form of course materials and other content. The following principles apply:

  • Licenses: Content shared on UDAO is subject to various license models. Authors can grant specific rights of use that regulate the use, reproduction, and distribution of their works.
  • Copyrights: Authors retain all rights to their works unless they expressly choose to transfer certain rights through a license agreement. Users are obligated to respect the copyrights of others.
  • Restrictions on Use: The use of content on UDAO may not infringe on the rights of third parties, including copyrights, trademark rights, and personal rights. Content may not be used for illegal purposes or to distribute malware.

3. Protection Mechanisms

UDAO employs a number of measures to protect the intellectual property of users and to ensure compliance with copyright guidelines:

  • Review Processes: Before content is published, it may go through a review process to ensure that it complies with the platform's copyright policy.
  • Technological Safeguards: UDAO uses technology to detect and prevent copyright infringement, including digital watermarking and content ID systems.
  • Education and Awareness: The platform provides resources and guidelines to educate users about copyright and the respectful use of intellectual property.

4. Procedure in the Event of Violations

4.1 Reporting Process

Users who suspect an infringement of their intellectual property on UDAO can report this to customer service using a provided form or by email. The report should contain sufficient information to investigate the case, including details of the content concerned and proof of ownership.

4.2 Investigation and Action

Upon receipt of a report, UDAO will investigate the matter. If a violation is found, measures such as the removal of the affected content, suspension of the responsible user account, or other appropriate sanctions may be taken.

4.3 Legal Remedies and Objection

Users whose content has been removed or who are affected by sanctions have the right to appeal. UDAO provides a process for reviewing such cases to ensure that decisions are made fairly and in accordance with the platform's policies.
